Good to know: Nora da Neve is a very special monovarietal. The vines are 20 years old and planted in alluvial soils of granite and boulders. The Albariño here is characterized by a small size of grape, hard skin and a concentrated must, which produces a large concentration of flavour with a large variety of aromas.

For production, the must is fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 7 months. Nora de Neve is the star of the winery and the 2017 vintage has been distinguished by the excellent health of the vineyard and the intense heat. The wines of this vintage are identified by having something more volume due to its warmth and great freshness. A vintage to enjoy young, or as it is the norm for great wines of the area, to save for a few years.

Viña Nora is located in the heart of the sub wine region of Condado do Tea, bordering Portugal, and it is the only inland region out of the four regions that comprise Rías Baixas. This unique location is noted for its granite soils with plentiful cobbles and a rainfall much lower than the region's average, and it favours an early and complete maturation of the grape. As a result, the winery is able to extract more of the variety's potential as well as capture the maximum expression of the land and its landscape in the wine.
